Brazilian artist
Natural de Campinas/SP, vivo e trabalho em São Paulo. Sou arquiteta pela Faculdade Belas Artes de SP, até 2016 trabalhei com fundição de vidro desenvolvendo painéis e azulejos autorais e dando início a uma pesquisa sobre transparência e cor que perpassa toda minha produção. Aprofundei o estudo sobre as cores no ser humano através da técnica de pintura de Liane Collot d'Herbois - a Antroposofia. A partir de 2020, passei a pintar em tela e papel, com tinta a óleo e acrílica. O artista Sergio Fingermann aponta como uma das características da minha pintura certa celebração da vida, do "aqui agora" e acrescenta: "Michaela persegue as qualidades oníricas das imagens, com personagens vagando nos espaços criados pelas manchas de cores".
Recentemente minha pesquisa vem se materializando no tridimensional, em objetos e instalações. Formas orgânicas, suspensas no espaço, feitas com materiais têxteis, que remetem a estruturas vivas. Meu trabalho fala do desconhecido que nos habita, que tem autonomia, algo enigmático e ambíguo.
Frequentei o grupo de pintura com Paulo Pasta no Instituto Tomie Ohtake e grupo de Acompanhamento de Artistas do Ateliê 397, em São Paulo. Fiz parte, em 2021, da exposição coletiva Diferenças no Atelier 284-SP e do III Edital Subsolo Multiplicidade das Coisas, no Laboratório de Arte Subsolo Campinas-SP. Em 2022, participei da residência artística SP_01 da Galeria Tato SP e da residência artística do Estúdio Apotheke, da Udesc, em Florianópolis-SC. Em 2023, integrei as exposições coletivas Memórias do Futuro no Memorial Getúlio Vargas RJ, Em tempos como este na Galeria Marilia Razuk SP. Expus no Museu de Arte de Blumenau, aprovada na Temporada 3 no Edital 2023, com a exposição individual Dea Liquidus. Em 2024, realizei a exposição individual Dea Liquidus na Galérie Ephémere Pezenas, França, integrei a exposição coletiva De séve et de souffle Pezenas, França e exposição individual Synesthesie, le goût des couleurs Médiathèque Edmond Charlot, França.
Born in Campinas/SP, I live and work in São Paulo. I am an architect from Faculdade Belas Artes de SP. Until 2016, I worked with glass foundry, developing panels and copyright tiles and starting research on transparency and color that permeates all of my production. I deepened the study of colors in humans through Liane Collot d'Herbois' painting technique - Anthroposophy. From 2020 onwards, I started painting on canvas and paper, with oil and acrylic paint. The artist Sergio Fingermann points out as one of the characteristics of my painting a certain celebration of life, of the "here now" and adds: "Michaela pursues the dreamlike qualities of the images, with characters wandering in the spaces created by the patches of color."
Recently, my research has been materializing in three dimensions, in objects and installations. Organic shapes, suspended in space, made with textile materials, reminiscent of living structures. My work talks about the unknown that inhabits us, that has autonomy, something enigmatic and ambiguous.
I attended the painting group with Paulo Pasta at Instituto Tomie Ohtake and the Artist Monitoring group at Ateliê 397, in São Paulo. In 2021, I was part of the collective exhibition Diferenças at Atelier 284-SP and the III Edital Subsolo Multiplicidade das Ciências, at Laboratório de Arte Subsolo Campinas-SP. In 2022, I participated in the artistic residency SP_01 at Galeria Tato SP and the artistic residency at Estúdio Apotheke, from Udesc, in Florianópolis-SC. In 2023, I was part of the group exhibitions Memórias do Futuro at Memorial Getúlio Vargas RJ, In times like this at Galeria Marilia Razuk SP. I exhibited at the Blumenau Art Museum,_SC, approved in Season 3 in the 2023 edital, with the solo exhibition Dea Liquidus. In 2024, I held the solo exhibition Dea Liquidus at Galérie Ephémère Pezenas, France, I was part of the collective exhibition De séve et de souffle Pezenas, France and the solo exhibition Synesthesie, le goût des couleurs_Médiathèque Edmond Charlot, France.
